Sunday in Surrey

Sunday we attended church at the East Grinstead Ward with Matt and Kim's family. It was the Primary program this Sunday. They divided the Sunday School classes by age and we went to the above-60 class; they have lots of folks in that age group who are missionaries at the Temple. After church we drove through beautiful fields and forests to Ardingly, home of Ardingly College, affectionately referred to as Hogwarts by Kyle who attends school there. It is a Victorian-era concoction with strong Gothic overtones: really pretty impressive. We drove from there to the London Temple grounds for a quick look around. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The recent addition of a Moroni statue has blunted the spire and ruined its effect (IMHO), but the grounds are as lovely as ever.

We rented an extra car to accommodate our large group

Arriving home we snacked on English cheeses and then, later in the evening, enjoyed a delicious Japanese curry. We watched three more episodes of Downton Abbey while Kim attended a YW meeting. Before going to bed, we ate Kim's wonderful chocolate bundt cake topped with English custard -- Vicki and I are custardholics and were in hog heaven.

Today we are off to London again for further adventures. We will keep you posted, but that's all for now.

OXO

Matt and Phillip have a similar look. Must be Phillip has some strong Boynton in him. Also, we had Japanese curry last night with our Italian/British friends, so I guess you must have been sending vibes our way. Also lovely.
