A Foggy Day in London Town

London was bathed in mist today, but was warm, at least to me: I had my jacket tied around my waist the whole day. We started at the Courtauld Institute Galleries because Monday mornings are free (I planned it that way because I'm such a tightwad!). We proceeded to Covent Garden where the ladies looked for treasures and I was sucked into Thornton's. We had lunch at the local Wagamama and then took the Piccadilly Line to Russell Square and thence to the British Museum. We took the #24 bus to Westminster and caught the Jubilee Line back to London Bridge. Our train took us to Edenbridge Station, which is just steps from the Boynton house, so we were home by 6:00. After supper, we saw two more episodes of Downton Abbey -- it's a good season, if you like that sort of thing ... and we all do.

It was a wonderful day. The weather was great, the connections were all perfect, the food was good, the art was fine, the buses and trains weren't packed; it just couldn't have been better.

Tomorrow we will be preparing for our trip north to Burton Agnes and Boynton, so we won't stray far from home. There still may be something to report, so stay tuned. That, however, is all for now.

OXO
