Post-Wedding Fun

Saturday night the SKT and DAT adults went to P712 for dinner. The gnocchi was spectacular. Monday was extended compound dinner at our house hosted by Colton and Millie (no photos). Tuesday was a truncated Cousin's Camp. The big blowout will be at Disneyland in September. Tonight (Wednesday) we met the Boynton cousins at Scera Park. The fun just never ends.

Finn's Baptism

On Saturday, 23 June, the family gathered at our stake center for Finn's baptism. He elected to be baptized in Utah after the wedding so that all the cousins could be present. Uncle Phillip conducted, Madeline sang, Maren talked, and because we have a paucity of piano players in our family, our great neighbor, Christine McDonald played the piano. Gavin baptized and confirmed Finn.

There will likely be lots more activities leading up to the 4th of July, but that's all for now.

Wedding Luncheon

After the ceremony there was a bit of picture taking followed by a delicious lunch. Each parent had a chance to pay tribute to the couple, followed by Katy's bridesmaids and Daniel'g groomsmen together with his good friend Camille.  Uncle Chip and Madeline sang a very nice duet in honor of Katy and Daniel and then they cut the cake. It all made a nice finish to a really wonderful celebration.

What could be finer?

That was the end of the wedding but certainly not of all the related activities. There will be more, but that's all for now.

The Wedding

On Friday morning, June 22, Katy and I arrived at Santiago's exactly at 11:00 A.M. The guests had been arriving since 10:30 and as we walked up the hill to the upper lawn and down the aisle, everyone was in place. Clara and Lizzie slowly scattered rose petals in our path. Katy and I had a hard time holding back to their pace, but we eventually arrived front and center where I passed Katy to Daniel. Jeff Ringer, our nephew as well as our bishop, performed the ceremony; it was personal, spiritual, and touching. Jeff did better than any sealer I have ever witnessed in the temple. It was wonderful.
