Dry Pond Loop Trail

Friday morning Rob took me for a hike up the Dry Pond Loop Trial in the Toiyabe National Forest. We started on Thomas Creek and then headed up the side of the mountain until we reached the lovely open meadow that is Dry Pond. From there one gets a view of Mount Rose and the Sierra before dropping down into the canyon where Whites Creek drains. It was a perfect day for a hike: cool and beautiful. Back home, we decided to forgo the leftovers and went down the hill to Yosh's Deli. They make a fantastic meat loaf sandwich that I love. Friday evening, Anna and Rob hosted a party for their primary class, so the house was filled with happy kids. It was clear that they had a great time.

We are off on a Saturday adventure today. I will report later, but this is all for now.
