Clara's Baptism Day

Saturday, 2 May, Clara was baptized at the Neil Road Chapel in Reno. The boys gave the prayers, Anna and I spoke, and Rob did the heavy lifting. It was really a very nice service and I believe Clara was really pleased. Midday we drove up Mount Rose and down into Tahoe for some pleasant time at the beach. We returned home for dinner at Texas Roadhouse, Clara's choice for her special day. In the evening, the adults went to see Woman in Gold, which was very enjoyable.

Lovely sunrise on my morning walk

Dressed and ready to head to the church

I asked them to think pleasant thoughts

Clara with her mom and dad

Rob made some delicious cookies for the post-baptism fĂȘte

 The family w/ grandparents

Roberto capturing the moment

  Opening her baptism-day gift

Scriptures and a cool plaid bag

The small cove at Sand Harbor

She is unafraid of the sun

 Others are more melanin-challenged

The lake level is very low: worst drought in hundreds of years

Digging to China or least down to the water table

 WTH in a solitary pose

Our spot of shade at the foot of the Sierra Nevada...

With a great view of the lake

Making the loop around the point

 A rocky detour

 Beautiful blue Tahoe

The full group of walkers headed back to the beach

 Texas Roadhouse

 Viande rouge

A good flick

Rob and Anna are off to Montana, so we will be here with the kiddos for a few days. That's all for now.

OXO

Oh the FOMO! So wish we could be there. Clara looks very happy and grown up. The scenery is beautiful. Good luck with the children.
