On Our Own

Maren and Gavin left today and we are now, for better or worse, on our own. I started the day with an early walk to Bashas' for some last-minute groceries. Unfortunately they had nothing I was looking for, but it was a nice walk nonetheless. There are still lots of things in bloom to enjoy along the way. After the boys left for school, we made the airport run and I finally acquired the groceries on the way home. I picked up the boys from school and they spent the afternoon in an animated Lucas Star-Wars marathon. I made Hawaiian haystacks for dinner and the boys helped with dishes and clean up before we went for a sunset walk.

 Up before sunrise

The oleander is in full bloom

 Bashas' at sunrise

Palo Verde is at the height of its bloom

First step of their long journey

Maren has everything scheduled and well-organized

A walk just a the sun set

We are taking it one bite at a time and so far, all is well. That's all for now.

OXO
