While the others went to the Sunday Marché Monge, I struck out on my own to see a few things on my list. The vide grenier (sort of a garage sale in market form) and the Marché Monge were all in full swing as I headed to the Métro. I popped up at Opéra and headed to the Square Édouard VII, a chic street and interior square off the Boulevard des Capucines in the ninth arrondissement. It was built in 1912 and honors Queen Victoria's naughty son, Edward (Bertie) VII of Great Britain. Back on the Left Bank, I wandered narrow medieval streets that lead to Boulevard Sainte-Germaine-des-Près. The tiny Place Furstenberg is nearby. To call it "Paris's most charming square" is hyperbole, but it is worth a look-see. I stopped at the Café de Flore to see if there were any influencers about, and I was not disappointed. My final stop was the Cour du Commerce Sainte-André, a cute-ish little passage near the Odéon Métro. I headed home for a delicious late lunch harvested by the others from the market with all kinds of charcuterie and other delicious bits.

Paris 2021 Day Seven
Out early from the flat to buy a baguette
The vide grenier was just being set up on Place de la Contrescarpe
That's home on the seventh floor with dormer windows
Fresh baguette just waiting for a slab of butter
Back out through the vide grenier, headed to the Métro
Rue Édouard VII
Square Édouard VII

You were right in our neck of the woods. Our hotel was near Cafe de Fleur and Passage Commerce and Odeon.
What a great day! And please, some influencer shots pushing a product out your booty in the camera a bit.
What a lovely day! Food looks fab!
