Un Poco Mas de Santa Fe 2017

The week continued with more cooking, schlepping, and walks with Bella. When Anna and Rob returned at the beginning of the next week, we celebrated Anna's birthday in a somewhat more official way. It turns out that Clara, like me, is a Great British Baking Show aficionada. We watched several episodes together and were inspired to bake, including something for Anna's birthday.

The Old Santa Fe Trail on a morning walk

 Sunflowers near the State Capitol

Clara did some serious sewing with a bit of help from Grammy

 Santa Fe sunset

My favorite builder-grade house in A&R's neighborhood

 Supper at Blake's

Up the Museum Hill Path with Bella

 Rainbow view from Calle Conejo

Down the arroyo with our Angel Dog

 I told you so

Another home in the Hastings' neighborhood
with a great natural landscape

Our destination at the end of Caminito del Sol

 Open the door; we're home

Early morning view from the back windows

A foggy morning walk felt like California

I had never walked up Canyon Road before

Ristras spotted on the Canyon Road

 Winner winner chicken dinnner

Back from Ireland sharing out the loot

Croque-monsieur for lunch with Rob and Anna at Clafoutis

We were there so often, we became acquainted

Birthday dinner for Anna at Harry's Roadhouse

Catfish, collard greens, and cheesy grits with a NM chili twist

Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood with their wonderful carrot cake bake

 A token number of candles

"Wonderful layers and a decadent covering of cream-cheese frosting,
beautifully presented on an heirloom platter"

We love these people

Listening to Trevor Noah's biography on Audible, the miles whizzed by and we are home now for a couple of days. We are, however, headed to Arizona and California as October begins. So this is all for now.

OXO

What a delightful post. I loved the cake and I love that you and Clara baked up a storm. Thank you a million and billion times for holding down the fort for us. Much appreciation and love from me.
