Timpanogos to Heber

Tuesday, 2 July, we headed up Provo Canyon to the back side of Timp. We hiked the Timp Trail at Aspen Grove before heading up the Alpine Loop and down to Cascade Springs. We drove over the mountain on the dirt road to Heber Valley for lunch at Granny's. That evening we enjoyed an Indian nosh at Bombay House. It may have been overkill for Gavin who just returned from India.

A cool spot of shade along the trail

The wildflowers were in full bloom

 Wild hollyhocks

Timpanogos from the Alpine Loop with Provo Peak in the distance

 Same troops at Cascade Springs

 A beautiful spot

Wonderful water and wildflowers

These springs generate an incredible amount of water

 Lunch at Granny's

 Really good shakes

Fry sauce: it must be Utah

 Dinner with the adults

 Best Indian food anywhere

Jayson insisted on the traditional group shot

The Independence Day post is still unfolding, so that's all for now.

The day could only have been more perfect if the temperature would have been a little lower. But all in all a pretty fun adventure.

Absolutely gorgeous! BTW, we hit a high of 79 in Waimea yesterday; then dropped back down to 72 after noon.
