Katy's Birthday

Yesterday, Sunday, was Katy's birthday. She started the day by speaking with stake high councilman, Jeff Ringer, at the Provo Peak 8th Ward. Kris and I went to listen and she did a great job.

Homemade spinach pasta with homemade marinara sauce is Katy's favorite and she helped me make it. The family all came, joined by Todd and Courtney. After dinner the cousins dropped in for some cake, conversation, and some reunion planning. The binkers played hard and eventually ended up downstairs, enthralled with Disney's Enchanted.

Homemade pasta is labor intensive, but delicious

Happy birthday to you! (great cake Kris - chocolate w/ cream-cheese frosting)

An impromptu reunion-planning session

The binkers snuggled up, watching a DVD

It was a lovely afternoon/evening and we missed Maren, Will, and their families.

OXO

It was quite lovely. Thank you for the invite! Happy b-day to Katy. (and for anyone who's wondering...no, I'm not pregnant, I just look like it in the first picture)

What fun! Looks like a lovely time.

Ian spotted your neat-o pasta drying rack. He makes homemade pasta sometimes (it is a personal favorite of mine)and would like to get a thingy like that. Do tell, where might we find such a thing?

Hilary: It was a gift from Maren a few years ago. A Google search for "Marcato pasta rack" will turn up several vendors who would be happy to sell you one for around $40.00. It is very handy and has been well used.
