The next photo has a backstory. When Kris was growing up in Mesa, one of her brother Chip's friends was Don Stapley. She found him full of himself and massively condescending to her personally. She thought he was Eddy Haskell (Leave it to Beaver) incarnate. In Mesa we saw campaign signs for him on almost every corner and Kris was sick at the thought of him holding public office. Headed back to Peoria one evening we saw these signs on most corners. Kris was overcome with joy when she saw that someone had called him out.
