Arizona in the Summer

We vowed never to go Arizona in the summer because it is HOT and really awful. But we made an exception for Nancy Geddicks Boynton's funeral. The funeral was emotional, but it was good to see family and spend a little time with them.

 Yummy tacos with the kiddos

 Cheap lunch from Wendy's

The next photo has a backstory. When Kris was growing up in Mesa, one of her brother Chip's friends was Don Stapley. She found him full of himself and massively condescending to her personally. She thought he was Eddy Haskell (Leave it to Beaver) incarnate. In Mesa we saw campaign signs for him on almost every corner and Kris was sick at the thought of him holding public office. Headed back to Peoria one evening we saw these signs on most corners. Kris was overcome with joy when she saw that someone had called him out.

 Warning: Unethical career politician!

I have to admit that Arizona evenings are lovely

Goodbye dears

From Arizona we headed to New Mexico to see the Hastings, so there is more to come. This is all for now.

OXO

Not a fun reason to go, but nice you could be all together.
