Santa Fe Fall 2019

We spent the end of September and the first part of October in Santa Fe with Anna and Rob's excellent children. They are very self-sufficient; we merely cooked and washed clothes, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We had some fun adventures along the way.

Santa Fe was in full fall bloom

Shake Foundation with Rob and Anna before they headed to Ireland

Clary Berry's own creation

She is fearless

Mousse Domes

Anders introduced me to Tesuque Village
Market's delicious pastries

Taco Fundación

A trip to Albuquerque: a rare shot of Costco with no people

Temple lunch

Fun shopping for Talavera one morning

Another morning wandering the historic center
of Santa Fe

The ubiquitous Southwest Adobe style

Palace of the Governors

Santa Fe Plaza

Discovered Tommy T in Santa Fe

Creatively painted vigas and posts with the Cathedral
in the rear

East Palace Avenue

I love Santa Fe's hidden courtyards

We always have to check out the newest
Pendleton blanket patterns

This French ex-pat runs a fine patisserie and made
half-a-dozen religiueses au café for me

These are exactly what I was seeking in Paris
but was disappointed at least once

Dinner at Harry's Roadhouse with their tasty meatloaf

Tesuque Village Market for lunch

Huevos Rancheros are delicious

My new favorite Santa Fe area restaurant

DELICIOUS desserts: mousse cake and key lime pie

Tesuque is a sleepy little wide spot in the road on this leafy byway

Clary Berry at it again

Piping macarons this time

Lunch with Tucker at his favorite taco vendor: the quesadilla was
super-cheesy and delicicious

Grammy and I getting our leaf-peeping fix in the
Santa Fe National Forest

Aspen groves are apparently a single organism; this one is incredible

Aspens just reaching their peak

The natural beauty is moving

We wandered up the trail as far as we thought was reasonable
with a clumsy cast on my foot and leg

An unusual patch of orange; there are no Mountain Maples here

Pines and Aspens

An unchanged green aspen standing tall

La Choza is the Hastings' favorite restaurant: SPICY!

Last supper with the binkers

This was another fabulous visit, although we missed visiting at length with Anna and Rob because we headed home early in the morning and they returned at midnight that night. We are now back to normal life in Provo and this is all for now.

OXO

Thank you a gabillion for holding down the fort. And we went to Tesuque Market on Sunday. Our new favorite.
