Boynton Reunion

7 June 2018, we left Santa Fe and drove to Legacy Lodge in Arizona. The big lodge is in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest; the closest town is Heber-Overgaard. The house is an impressively large log construction made of huge cedars from British Columbia. Beyond the striking log construction and the immense scale, the planning of the place is wonkey. The bathrooms are awkward, the furniture selection is odd, and the kitchen has only one small refrigerator. In spite of those shortcomings, it was a delightful place with a pond for fishing and swimming, horses for the kids to ride, and lots of places to gather and visit. Rachel Boynton Maka planned and bought all the food, and we all took turns cooking and cleaning up. We arrived on Thursday and departed on Sunday morning. We drove straight home through northern Arizona by way of Chinle and up into southern Utah and Bluff. Happily. we arrived in Provo in time to catch the tail end of Meagan and the kids' visit. They spent the week at our house while we were away.

Back to Hawaii

We had a couple of fun weeks visiting with family, enjoying special occasions with people we love. Life will be normal for a few days, but very soon the family will descend for summer in Utah, a time we love! This is all for now.

OXO
