November 2017

Guy Fawkes Day, Bonfire Night, Thanksgiving, mornings with Evelyn, Pippy and Dickie baking up a storm, Julia's Wedding, and a bit more. That's what November was like this year.

Evelyn loves a pile of leaves

Friday night out with Katy, Evy, and Pippy

Dealing with leaves -- and a squeeze

Remember, remember, the fifth of November

Sticky toffee pudding and M&S shortbread squares

Trump was the guy

 Emily gleefully burns the guy

Katy reads the poem

Opa and Annie enjoy the fire

 Pippy, Dickie, and Krisy

Down came the trees at Opa's and Millies

 The park is mostly done

Excellent German street food at the mall

Huntsman called and I am negative: huge relief

Morning walks were on hold for a few weeks, but the skies were not

 Leaves!

 The replacements went in

A trip to SLC for a Hogsmead visit

The lovely Taylor sisters at Julia Ricks' reception

 The bride herself

 Davin and Julia Guinn

 Pippy carved the Thanksgiving turkey

A small group this year (Emily is taking the photo)

 Delicious, as always

 There's Emily

 Pippy's pecan pie was a new wrinkle -- it's a keeper

 This was a great film

A wonderful custard tart for family dinner

Pippy cooked dinner and made pita for his Greek meal

 Magic

Plantar fasciitis is better and the morning walks have started again

It appears Anna was right: I guaranteed a seven-year drought. My new heated driveway has never been tested and there is no winter in sight. Troubling.

OXO

I was walking in a tank top and sweating up a storm on Dec. 1. Troubling. Climate change isn't man-made, it's driveway heating made. Also custard tart!!!! I want!!!! And Marks and Spencer shortbread. Yummmmmm. And Pecan Pie.
