Tuesday 21 March was a beach day. We drove south, crossed the bridge to Coronado, and proceeded to Silver Strand State Beach. We chose that beach because it is remarkably free of people considering that it is spring break. The sand is full of silver glitter and the beach is littered with shells and sand dollars. We stopped at the Hotel del Coronado for a bit of time at the beach and tide pools among the rocks. We found some lovely creamy ice cream at the hotel before heading home to shower. We went back downtown for dinner at Sultan Baklava, a fine Middle-Eastern eatery we discovered last time we were here. The final stop of the evening was Seaport Village.
