This morning after a pumpkin-pancake breakfast we headed south to Carson City and up the mountain to Lake Tahoe. With recent snow and freezing temperatures it was a very different experience, but no less beautiful than in summer. We picnicked in the car and then drove around the lake to where the Truckee River leaves the lake and followed the canyon down past Squaw Valley to Truckee and I-80. On the way back into Reno, we made a quick stop at the Reno Temple. The tiny temples, though important, are disappointing to me architecturally. It was interesting to see it nonetheless. Arriving back at the ranch we regrouped and headed out on some errands before dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant.

Tomorrow we are back on the road to Provo. It's always hard to go back to real life, but we have had a most enjoyable visit and look forward to more in the future.
That's all for now.
OXO

I think I'm going to like Reno. Pretty area. I hadn't realized how long Clara's hair's gotten.
Looks like it was freezing! Fun though!
It was rather chilly, but lovely anyway. It was so fun to have you here. We have empty house syndrome now....come again soon.
