On Friday, 27 March, the binkers were out of school and gathered at our house to help me celebrate my birthday. We lunched at La Casita. The moms wanted Indian food and the binkers wanted to go to La Casita; mine was the tie-breaking vote. After lunch we went to the BYU MOA to see Walter Wick's exhibit. Katy Kathryn was our docent and we had a great time.
On Sunday (since it was a 5th Sunday) the family gathered for dinner here. We ate pasta, salad, and bread. For dessert I made a bienestich kuchen and we celebrated my birthday in style.

It was fun and that cake was sooo good. I'd like a piece right now, thank you.
Looks like fun! Yummy cake I am sure! You will have to take us to the MOA when we come!
WV: aness HEHEHE!
Bless your heart! Happy Birthday Uncle Dickie! You're a heck of a great uncle.
Katy's beautiful photo tribute to you mentioned Google Earth. I know we've discussed Google Maps and Earth briefly before, but have you played with the 3-D renderings of cities yet on Google Earth yet? London has some pieces done. Cities like NY, DC, Munich, Berlin and some others are filled in to a surprising degree. It looks like Florence will soon exist in cyberspace too! You can even just go to Utah Valley and see Timp and all of the other mountains rendered in 3-D.
Anyway, if you haven't played with it yet, check it out. Just play with the toggle on the right (it's the top controller that looks like a compass). You'll love it if you don't already.
You don't look a day over 60...
Looks like you had a lovely time.
hugs...
Happy belated birthday! I know you're not old, 'cause when you get old, I'll be old!
