January 2022 COVID!

January began with the usual New Years festivities, the Greek Dinner, and in addition, exposure to the Omicron strain of COVID. Initial PCR tests showed a negative result for Dickie and a positive result for Krisy. The results took several days, and by the time Kris's arrived, I was feeling poorly. So we did antigen tests and we were both positive. The symptoms were not bad, but the protocols are so unclear that we were unsure what to do. So we isolated for a couple of weeks until the symptoms were gone. We performed another round of antigen tests and Kris was negative, but I was still positive. A few days later I finally tested negative and we were back in the game. Isolating was fine: Annie brought us our online order of groceries from Harmons and some odds and ends from Costco. We also cleaned out several items from the freezer. Life is back to normal and February (next post) is underway.

Woohoo! Finally a negative result after several weeks of isolation

The front bathroom remodel gets underway in February, so there will be more. But this is all for now.

December 2021

December included the Timpview Christmas concert, a new dishwasher, La Casita with brothers and their wives, new counter tops, Sunday dinner with Colton and Millie when the Youngs arrived, Group Christmas party at the Millers, and of course, Christmas itself. More new counters in the bathroom, and tile in the kitchen and bath. Lots of young cousins in and out, games, puzzles and New Years Eve.

End of October, and November 2021

When we returned from Paris the month was almost gone, but the last bit of October included Cousins' Breakfast, Kris's birthday, and Halloween. In November we headed to Vernal to watch the kids; there were no sitters available because it was prom or some such thing. We made the final payment on our mortgage in November, and we started family dinners again for the first time since COVID became serious. We began our kitchen redo and spent a productive day in SLC choosing quartz and tile. Camille was married to Adam Clegg and the family gathered at the Startup Building. The Colvers were in town for Thanksgiving with Daniel's family and we had them, Ollie, and Tucker for an Indian nosh on Thanksgiving Eve. Emily hosted Thanksgiving at her home, and boom, November was done.

This almost made it worth it to come home from Paris

This is always a happy event

Happy birthday to Kris

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat... So of course there will be more, even though this is all for now.
