A Quick Visit: Hastings and Marlpit Hill Boyntons

The day after Christmas dawned clear and beautiful. We saw Rogue One and made a meat pie for supper in anticipation of the Hastings arrival. The next day there was some sledding at Rock Canyon Park and a mini Boynton reunion at La Casita in the evening.  The Boyntons were in town to visit friends and collect Connor who is headed back to school in Arizona. Wednesday the binkers went rock climbing and that evening we revisited Chom so the Hastings could try it, too. Thursday the chilluns played soccer and flew Harry's new drone at the church. That evening we had dinner at Bombay House and all the girls and Pop Pop went to see La La Land. Friday, there was a window of clear weather and the Hastings hightailed it back to Santa Fe.

The Hastings visit was way too short. We missed them at the New Years celebrations. There is more, but this is all for now.

Christmas 2016

The Youngs arrived from Arizona just in time for Christmas. The family gathered for dinner on Christmas Eve, and after opening presents on the day, the extended family met at Amy's for her annual brunch.

Early December 2016

December started with getting up the Christmas decorations, and early in the month Debra Sue Darling Gibbs came for a short visit. Of course there were delicious meals, movies, a trip to SLC, and lots of good visiting. And maybe some shopping. Cousin George Terry Taylor presented his cutting of A Christmas Carol at Compound Dinner. December also brought Christmas concerts, baklava making, and lots of good walks.
