May 2022: Washington DC

The bathroom remodel dragged along at the same pace, and we hosted the group dinner before heading south to Peoria AZ by way of Henderson NV for a quick visit with the Youngs. Maren dropped us at PHX for our flight to Dulles by way of Chicago. We settled in at the Chantilly Comfort Inn for a couple of days of celebration of Lucy Jane's graduation from The George Washington University. It was delightful being with family and friends. But I'm gonna say that I hate humidity. I have lived in the desert for too long.

April 2022

The bathroom remodel continued slowly but steadily, Meagan came to get Oliver ready for his return to HI and prepped for Brazil, and the family came for Easter dinner (no photo). At the end of April, we met Kris's family in Arizona for a small reunion and to go through the last of Carol Boynton's photos and mementos.

March 2022

We were pleased that the NY Gibbs were able to join us for Sunday dinner where we celebrated a few March birthdays: Tucker's, Lizzy's, and Jayson's. The bathroom remodel progressed and then went on hold until April. It was spring break at CSU and Anders came to SLC to be with Tucker for the week, so we had Sunday dinner with the kiddos again. There was a St. Patrick-themed Group dinner at the Freestones. We tried a Pueblano taco place in Orem at one of our Saturday dinners with SKT and Annie. The Soelbergs began playing pickleball in our driveway. Jeanette Woolf passed away and we attended her graveside service in Salt Lake City. Hale Center Orem performed Bright Star. We met with the cousins for eggs Benedict, etc. in SLC. Anna and Clara came to town for a week of their spring break and we went with them to SLC for some good family fun. Anna and Emily put together a delightful birthday gathering in honor of my 76th. And on the very last day of the month we found out second boosters were available for oldsters, so we signed up and got them that same day.
