Paris 2021

Phillip drove us to SLC International and we flew off to Paris (via Minneapolis) and we took a taxi to our digs on the Rue Tournefort in the 5th Arrondisment. While the others napped I ran some errands and then we all went out to see if I could get a Pass Sanitaire (no luck). We went on the Palais de Chaillot for a view of the Eiffel Tower, but we were disappointed by grime, hoarding, and hordes. The Tower is filled with scaffolding and masses of tourists, so we pushed on to the Rue Rapp for supper at our favorite Italian restaurant. Exhausted, we made our way home where I sat by the window and posted to Instagram before going to bed.

Santa Fe, Fall 2021

I flew to New Mexico to spend ten days with Clara while her parents had a wonderful adventure in France with Lucy Jane. I always enjoy Santa Fe, and Clara and I had a splendid time. I cooked some meals and ran the school shuttle. On Sunday, Clara arranged a morning in town, which is always a treat.

This is not the quickest way to the airport, but kind of fun

September 2012

September started with a visit from Mark, who met Anne halfway between AZ and WY for a weekend get together. We shared several meals with Annie and Opa, and we hosted the September group dinner. We made a quick day trip to Vernal for Arthur's birthday, including dinner at the Vernal Brewing Company. We had another post-vaccination cousins breakfast in Salt Lake City. September also included a trip to Santa Fe for Dickie. I stayed with Clara while Rob and Anna enjoyed visiting Lucy Jane in France. That trip will be a separate post, to follow when I get back to Provo.

Uncle Mark LOVED the Utah summer tomatoes

Because they are delicious

Supper out with Opa and Annie

Group dinner: Swiss steak and blueberry ice cream for dessert

Lovely flowers from TJ's

We met Evelyn at the bus stop in Vernal

That's not all for September, but the rest will be in the next post.
